For a decade, Matthew Mackenzie has represented individuals seeking services from private and government entities, providing skilled and compassionate legal advocacy for families with special circumstances.

Since beginning his private practice in 1990, Matthew has become a recognized leader in representing individuals with disabilities and their families. He educates his clients and helps them secure their rights under laws such as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, the Social Security Act, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act.

In addition to an impressive track record, with the vast majority of his cases resulting in favorable outcomes, Mr. Mackenzie’s credentials are equally distinguished. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Central, Northern, and Southern Districts of the California federal courts, as well as the state bars of California, Ohio, and Massachusetts. Matthew graduated from The George Washington University with both his undergraduate and law degrees. He previously served as counsel in the Office of the U.S. Air Force General Counsel in Washington, D.C., and as an attorney for public interest organizations, including the Children’s Defense Fund.
